About Blue Damsel Lodge
Your host is Keith Radabaugh, Managing Owner of Blue Damsel Lodge & Orion Adventures. He & his hand picked staff are on premises to assure top notch comfort & service. Raised in the country sporting lifestyle, the great outdoors have always been an important part of Keith’s life. He has been fly fishing long enough for the warranty to expire on his first Orvis rods & has hunted & fly fished on 5 continents. Since 1988, after a successful business career, he has worked in the outdoor recreation industry-from organizing & leading international hunting & fishing trips to guiding & lodge management in Mexico. When the plan came together in 2002 to form Orion Adventures, he began the search focused on the Four Rivers Area that led to the purchase of The Blue Damsel and the conversion from a bed & breakfast to a full scale fly fishing lodge. It didn’t take long to obtain the coveted Orvis Endorsement. Since opening in 2003, the Blue Damsel Lodge has hosted guests and by discriminating anglers from all over the world. Our very high rate of repeat guests, and the kind word-of-mouth referral from them serve as testimonial, but read some of their comments on this website and come experience what Western Montana fly fishing hospitality is all about.
“We DO NOT subscribe to the ‘Golden Rule’. Treating someone like we would like to be treated is just not good enough and also pretty assuming. Our goal is to treat people like they want to be treated. My wife calls that the ‘Platinum Rule.’ This is the primary focus of our entire staff & our key to success is that each member of our great team genuinely enjoys having guests stay with us & fish with us. Our mission is for you to have a grand experience that you will always remember fondly. We know most folks want a great fishing trip-that’s a given and that’s what they get. But in the end, it’s so much more than that; it’s the entire experience. We keep our eyes open & just kind of go by feel with each client and stay focused on their enjoyment during their stay. It’s our job to try to help shape the experience, our honor to gain an understanding of the experience from the guest’s perspective and our reward is fantastic & measurable-kind words, meaningful handshakes, & forged new friendships.”
